The carburetors after preliminary cleaning. Next I will remove all the little bits and give it another ultrasonic bath.

Could someone, (probably Scotch while drinking the morning cup of Java? haha), shed some light on this confusion?
All carbs have the same notched needle jets (I think that's what they are), like in this photo. They also are at some depth from the ridge of the carburetor's body.

Now, in this photo one of them, on the right, is solid all the way around, and sitting leveled with the edge. What's going on here?

Regarding your pics of the carb bodies and "what's going on here?"

The main jets screw into the the emulsion tubes which are in the carb bodies and the main jet holds the emulsion tubes in place like a tee nut. You could look in the throtle bores and see the one on the left is raised higher in the throttle bore because the previous "mechanic" who had the carbs apart, didn't install the emmulsion tube correctly. They have a locating notch in them that engages with a pin in the carb body to locate them. You should be able to push those emmulsion tubes out to clean all of the port holes in the side of them. there's like 20 .015" holes in each of those tubes. If they are blocked with the white oxide like I see around the top of the tubes., the fuel rising up the tubes will not be delivered in droplets. Push the tubes up and out through the throttle throats and clean. Don't rely on your ultrasonic to clean them installed in the carb. It won't work.

I think the one "without the key" still has the brass washer on. They are a tight fit and I don't think this one has been removed yet.

Gooood mornig!! Thank you everybody for the answers.
Kawboy, did you get the links to the ultrasonic stuff? They are above the carburetor posts.
I'm going back to your carburetor walk through post today Scotch. I tried to pull those jets using your bolt method (a regular metal one, gently), but they seem to be buried there solid.
I am wondering ahead about the floats. You got the brass ones I think. When taking the carbs apart I remember two floats bouncing back when lifted, but one not, just falling. So something is going on there. I think that's the one sitting next to the 'solid' jet.

StanG - Only on my 2nd coffee so need a bit of clarification regarding "the bolt method". I believe you're referring to removing the float needle-valve body? Put a couple of drops of penetrating-oil on it to lube the O-ring - then try removing it with some wriggling. These can be a bugger if the O-ring is old and stiff and if there's any debris/corrosion/mineral build-up around them, as there appears to be. If they still won't come out then apply some (flame) heat uniformly to the casting. We're not concerned about saving the O-ring. They should come out at this point. If the Nylon bolt is now stuck in the needle-valve body, then some more heat to the body should soften/release it.
STAN - I know you won't but I'm compelled to add "Do Not Use pliers" to pull the body out of the carb. (hence the NYLON bolt ! ) Sorry! My OCD made me !:silly:
Brass floats ? Yes, I'm the one ! None left on the shelf but will be making some this winter.
Not quite sure about your comment about one float not "bouncing" back. Could you re-word this please and clarify whether this observation is made with the carb-body right-way-up or upside down. I am presuming this is with the Float-valve and needle still in place?
Ultra sonic cleaning is great but you're still going to need to flush everything out - correctly and thoroughly. I have a special tool for accomplishing this and can assure you it works !
Can't say much about "Cam-Grinds" but feel pretty confident I can get you through the carb rebuild if you need some additional help.
