Regrettable Engine strip down !!!! I think " Follow up". But it's not over.

Hi Scotch. As you can see I've got the head off at this time. Been thinking for some time now (oil rings). I'm not going to be surprised if they are worn or carbon seized  into the piston. Turning the engine over at this time, oil is being drawn up the walls of the cylinder on every stroke. The oil has not been drained at this stage. 

Analysis paralysis?

Sometimes to get to the gettin' you just gotta get to the gettin'! 

My way of saying pull them pistons and let's see what you got!
