Finally I sent an email to the people at Spareparts saying that I recently bought some Performance model coils with a 3.5 ohm output to eliminate the resistances and that I wanted to know if I could mount a Carmo CDI instead of the OEM one.
Their response has been that their coils are designed to work with any type of CDI without problem, be it Carmo, OEM or any other brand.
Yesterday I forwarded that email to the people at Carmo and I'm still waiting for a response.
Carmo price 430 euros.
New OEM price on eBay 500 euros approx.
Used and tested OEM price 220 euros.

After a week waiting for a response from Carmoelectronics without any results, I moved on to the initial plan.
Buy a used OEM CDI.
In fact, this bike will be for riding, not for racing, much less for daily use.

I also emailed Carmo last week, so far, without response. To my mind, they are like many internet based companies- they can’t be bothered to acknowledge enquiries that could potentially lead to sales. Such companies do not deserve custom. Baffling.

Poor customer service seems to be the norm these days, sadly.

Are these the coils you

Interested to see how they work for you if so.

To begin with, I have been able to remove the stone resistor and the spark is good as long as the CDI does not heat up.
