A movie job.A movie job.

The red arrow shows signs of the shaft rubbing against the bearing as it is not in its correct housing.

The green arrow shows the locking ring in place.

Your perseverance is inspiring. Most guys would have pulled their hair out by now and be bald.

I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the oil pump, used this gasket paste for the first time.

I tightened the screws and it was locked, I loosened one turn and it started to move with some effort, without stopping to turn I retightened the screws step by step to their torque and the pump shaft turned smoothly.

I used this gasket paste applied with a brush to seal the crankcase joint.

I already have the crankcase closed and the bolts tightened with their torque.

I wonder if the gasket sealant work on head gaskets?

Someday, I'm gonna buy an engine, just for testing purposes - rebuild it, put it in a stand, then test carbs, ignition systems and what not...

...like to test what works for sealing a 'plain-dry' gasket..
