LOL - Caught me in my own mistake - :S I meant A.S.L. "Above Sea level" . Was thinking Skydiving where all we care about is - A.G.L :woohoo: = Above Ground Level.
Where do you stow the wings when you're not using them
When not gliding (Pilatus PC11-AF) the wings stow into the trailer.
When not skydiving I just stick my hands in my pockets !
On the bike ! Tucked in and Swept back !:evil:

Nice. The previous owner of my CBX was an avid glider pilot. Myself, I prefered the powered version. Plus, my *ahem* natural ballast tends to negatively impact glide ratios.

I remember cruising this site a number of years ago. The articles section is full of interesting stuff. Well written, easy explanations to follow.

Thanks to a kind farmer, I had the opportunity to do this in a barn, out of the weather. Not the ideal environment but had no options. Ah, the excitement of using a piece of car-board as a work surface and praying that "something" didn't flip-off into the dirt!
When did you visit my garage!? lol I will be doing valve gaps and carb swapping soon there.
I had to keep my same age GL 1100 at 4500 - 5000 rpm in lower gear with otherwise unreasonably open throttle to make it through in high altitudes of 3 - 4000 feet when climbing hills. The bike wouldn't go past 90 - 100 km/hr no matter what - just loss of of power (with a passenger). I think that's what we have to live with our KZ1300's as well, unless there is a happy medium somewhere. But I am looking forward to testing the KZ. An obvious choice is to keep the carburetor set to local conditions where most of the riding is done. I don't think I could make it through the 7000 ft high Rocky Mountains!

Pulled over to investigate, and sure enough, grounding the fan switch wire made the relay click, but the fan didn't turn on.
Instead of cleaning up the factory relay just for it to oxidize and fail again, I just grabbed a regular 4-pin relay and installed it in place of the factory relay.
Not sure why the original one is being problematic, but it's not something I want to chance failing while I'm sitting in hot traffic at the beach.
