Another interesting post and great photos. Both bikes look good. That 2000 V twin must be a real stump-puller!
Regarding the vapor lock in the fuel line, I remember Scotch, and I think strate6 ( Pete ) have written posts advising on the best routing for the fuel pipe.
That's good news about the oil consumption.
I must make time to watch the rest of your previously posted video .

Now THAT, is a nice picture !
Have several theories regarding the fuel starvation/air in fuel-filter issue. If you could take some equally good photos of the fuel-line arrangement - just remove the tank and shoot some various angles - You'll get an opinion(s) and possibly some proven ideas for improvement to avoid this issue in the future.

Stopped by the parts store and grabbed some o-rings to rebuilt the guts of my fuel cap. Been noticing some seepage that I believe is from the internal o-rings. Should have that done this evening, and then out to Deal's Gap this weekend.

Fuel leaks from the gas cap are fixed, so that's nice. Bike did great at the Dragon all weekend, back over the Skyway to the campground.
I also just got my Hagerty policy approved...there was a bit of resistance, but it's insured for $15,500 for about $35/mo. If you don't have agreed-value classic insurance on your machine, I strongly suggest you get it. I had it when I wrecked my K100, and there was no resistance, no argument, just a check for the full agreed value that showed up a few days later.

$15,500 ?? That's half the price of the Krakenhead Custom. If he gets it, you might want to rethink that value.
