LOL Old hookers don't care about old rubbers, the young ones do! haha Translating, at this stage the old rubbers will do. I have old rubbers on my 1983 Goldwing and it stops well. But the Teflon stainless braided on Vmax made a noticeable improvement!
Yes, I just went to a local shop and the rear brake hose was about $60 Canadian. At this point - I will get back to this kind improvements once I have a running bike. And that's when I can afford it.
Speaking of which, having original size fork ears would save lots of headache and speed up getting the bike on the road considerably. These forks in the photos don\t fit. Too short for oem light bucket. The Canadian dollar makes pretty much anything offered in Europe not affordable, and I need those stock forks to get going! Please send me a PM if we could work something out.

Lauri is of of stock with the fork ears, so I am on the lookout for a pair. Please let me know if anyone has a pair.

Back to the front forks, a couple extra photos. Installing and setting proper 27 ft.-lbs. torque on the bottom bolts was a breeze.

One last thing - I strongly suggest checking the 155.5 mm oil level (no springs and forks collapsed). Tape the air equalizing holes with electrical tape and check the levels. I used a hex-saw blade - marked the top level and the 155.5 level. Held the top with small vise grips, [placed on the forks top, and did a similar to oil level checking like we do in cars. I was quite surprised how much had to be adjusted, despite the service manual stating a bold cc number.

A few unsorted connections.
The rear was a mess and nothing there. Just wondering if these connections look right.
The front - I have an idea but need opinion about hooking up the turn signals. The headlight is #3, the rest I think the signals. Except the '?' which I don't know what it is, but I suspect it goes to a fairing with extra goodies. Front signals have 3 wires - 2 +1 ground. Here, #4 and #5 would make sense + the #1 as supposed ground, but both 5 and 1 have the same color pattern, confusing me.
The two brown wires come from one harness, but one is not connected. No idea where it goes - there was nothing on the other end.
Same two pairs of light green and red wires. One connected, the other not. #3 goes to the oil sensor in the oil pan I think. But where the other pair identically colored goes?
Below - no idea where the '?' should go.
Any help much appreciated!
