Another question to go with the oil pan question. does it fit with standard pipes and centre stand?

When you drain the oil, I assume it's leaving 1/2 quart in the canister if you don't unbolt it, correct?

I don't see that as an issue, if I want to change to a different oil, I'd simply unbolt the canister and drain it too. Correct?

And it clears the DG exhaust, correct?

If all my assumptions are correct, I'm in for one. If we don't get 12, I'll just make me one similar.

No oil is left in the cartridge well or adapter.
Adapter fits in place of the cartridge cover
No issues with the DG
I had previously removed the smaller (upper) center-stand brace but there is 2.5" clearance from the end of the filter to the lower (larger) brace. This accounts for the swing-up of the center-stand.
Can not confirm this will work with a stock exhaust as I've had the DG for 28(?) years. The resonators on the stock exhaust might conflict.
If someone with a stock exhaust could take some measurements - specifically the space between the resonators - this will help confirm.
Filter: Dia. 2.475 Length - 3.4"
Will talk to the "shop" to confirm the price.

Stan's only had one cup of Java, so far ?
If the oil filter Part# is the same for both pans then there should be no issues. The adapter is well above the lowest point of the header.
I just talked the shop owner and he's going to get a price per piece based on a "low # production run" of 12, early next week.
Would appreciate some measurements/photos of a Deep-Pan, preferably off the bike, for clarification to Stan's query. I have no idea how the deep-pan was made/cast/machined, relative to the oil filter.

The part looks plenty beefy enough to take a parking lot bump. If you hit that at speed.... we’ll you where probably headed towards having a bad day anyway...
