Nope - not mine. I stole the photo from RChaloner. The P.O. of his bike did that !

LOL Got it scotch. I think RChaloner needs your spin on adapter and a proper sandwich plate.
I don't want to think what would happen if that hose broke riding... A hint - the rear tire would be nicely lubricated.... Ouch!

Yep, sadly the pic' is mine, this is the state the bike is in at the moment, crushed lower headers down on the collector (the kerbs I assume) and those bizarre oil hoses hanging around, particularly bearing in mind the thing was lowered front & rear..

So just a question of whether to retain the oil cooler, with new hoses (or metal / rubber combos) routed along the frame for safety and appearance, or just ditch it all and perhaps upgrade to deep sump as & when.

Right now, my efforts to get the rest of the beastie running are taking long enough;
headlamp has ended up a hybridised XS1100 thing that doesn't fit well but OK for roadworthiness,
still need to re-weld most of seat mounting hardware and rear frame rails and captive nut plates to allow all that stuff to be mounted,
oh and the small matter still of 3 cylinders being waaaaay down on compression!

Carb reassembly next, after 3 or 4 weeks in diesel and an ultrasonic spa-treatment, all of which the bloomin' emulsion tubes STILL needed hand reaming to clean! ; )

The machinist stipulated a minimum of 12. They would sell for about $200.00us each. If there's interest I'll confirm the price.
Have about 3,000K on it and the results are gratifying. Lower oil-temp (10-20 C) and higher oil pressure (5-20 lbs depending on conditions) Oil temp. is noticeably slower to rise at slower speeds and cools down very quickly at speed. Have determined it holds almost 1 litre extra and oil changes (just did my third with the adapter) are a real treat. Virtually no mess! The WIX filter cost me $8.00.
If 12 or more of you are interested then they would be available.
If you're wondering about the minimum it's because the shop cuts the adapter on a $1,000,000.00 (Yes - 1 million) CNC machine and he just had a new, larger one installed this summer. The Japanese techs were in his shop for one month, cutting the floor and placing 5 trucks of concrete for the required engineered floor and setting up the machine. My point is: This is a full-on CNC shop with state of the art machines and the lathes rarely stop. So...........12 minimum for the trouble of fitting these into his regular production, to cut these bits.

Are these fitting both oil pans or just the early ones?
