Thanks, it's interesting to understand the thought process behind it all.

Mines a 6-1 too, see the pic on the last post (DG style but DG UK say it's not one of theirs so maybe a copy) and yes it's all pretty bulky and close to the sump and also the ground... in the condition I picked it up the two lowest pipes have been very badly crushed from hitting something, kerbs maybe, and the stupid cooler lines hang even lower as they're very inflexible.

I subsequently worked out it was on short shocks so have swapped those back to OE, and am assuming the forks springs are probably cut / dropped too for a shorter rider, but at least the front end would be due an upgrade anyway as I'm 6'2" / 200lb so could do with some firmer springing.

I'll have to investigate what the cooler & unions are comprised of, as in principle it seemed a good idea, but I'm nervous to see jubilee-clipped oil pressure lines and 'hose tails' that spin freely in their housings (albeit not leaking)!
Guess these could be circlip retained and o-ring sealed, but doesn't seem a very robust setup.

The first pic looks like a failure waiting to happen. Not sure who in their right mind would leave oil hoses hanging like this.... Looks like the bikes goes over carbs from time to time. But in the second photos I see a lot of space! You could fit there a couple of pipes and carry contraband, hahaha

Stan ! Well, shit ! You saw right through this one. Ok; It's not really an oil filter-adapter - it's a rouse; simply to get my "stash" safely from point A to point B.
Will advise at a later date as to the benefits of Hemp-Oil 20-50 vs. Shell Rotella ! :woohoo:
In this case the 20/50 will more then likely refer to what it does to your eye sight !

That shiny canister looks so secure the can opener you carry would give you away. Busted!!!!! hahaha
Pretty clever though. If that thing can transform engine oil into hemp, hash, etc., every oil change would actually bring profit. The more you ride the more changes, the more oil changes, the more money and fun - just a perfect storm!

In the meantime, it's Rotella 15-40 or whatever good brand never synthetic but maximum semi-synthetic 20-50. Too many people say fully synthetic oil is not good for high rpm wet clutch robots like motorcycles, especially those having middle age crisis.

so.. that first photo of of your bike scotch??? You are pulling a leg or making sure all confidence in your opinion is lost???
That first photo is savage. Damaged pipe, worn oil mickey-mouse hose, more of it hanging to get ripped off with a road debris...
I just hope it's not you.
