I am enjoying your interesting posts, and admire you for taking on such a repair.

Regarding the cylinder head gasket in your gasket set ,  I wonder if it will be reliable.  It has been mentioned by other forum users that the genuine Kawasaki gasket is the best choice.

I bought the most complete set of gaskets I could find, it even came with the valve seal set.

I paid 180 euros with shipping from the United Kingdom to Spain.

After a few days of inactivity, I returned to the garage to continue assembling the engine.I found this mark on the cylinder block, I don't know if it is OEM PART.

Apparently the pickup was changed but there was no time to give it a coat of paint.

I swear that I carefully disassembled the parts of the engine block, cylinder head and oil pan...

I deposited the screws for each part in boxes with the name of the place where they were located noted on each box.

Well, there are missing screws, the engine was assembled like this, there are four screws missing inside the crankcase that I don't remember having removed...

Surely they thought about reducing weight so that the bike would run more...

It is too bad you did not catch this when you disassembled, so that you knew for sure. I will suggest that when the engine was rebuilt previously, they forgot to install those 4 bolts.

When I disassembled the engine I limited myself to removing screws until I could separate the two halves of the crankcase.

Those at the top in one box, those at the bottom in another, separating the Allen head ones from the hexagonal head ones.

I didn't pay attention to whether there were holes without their corresponding screw.

It was during assembly that I used the service manual when I noticed that pieces of the puzzle were missing.

It's good that you caught the mistake and can fix it. I would be concerned that if you didn't replace the missing screws, that oil galleries might leak oil pressure. Could be worse. A few Euros for the missing screws.
