Second video. Bike already running good. Idle adjusted. With temperature increase, some static tensions already already smoothed out. It was fun to hear some subtle cracks here and there, and very minimal at it. No smoke, no haze, lol Some minimal grease/oil from my dirty palms soon cleared, exhaust clear, and just a smooth running bike. (again, best in HD quality)



There will be a few areas I will be checking and keeping my eye on. A couple practical and functional changes will come, but that's borderline with 'cosmetic'.

Plan:...

After the first ride (50-100 km), a quick oil change to just have a second fresh start. This first running is after so many years and changes, including brand new surfaces, that I just want to get rid of all the initial random micro 'stuff' that would come out of the cracks. I call it the rinsing and washing stage. After that, new oil and some riding.

The pivotal point will be re-tightening the cylinder head bolts, after about a 1000 km, another oil change, maybe coolant as well just for the hell of it and simplicity to have one date for all the fluids. The odometer basically will start from zero then again.

I am looking forward to f##%#ing around with artistic touch ups and maybe making my fuel like a bit longer, or shorter? haha As silly as it sounds, a small thing can make a huge difference, and that will be a very enjoyable time interacting with the bike. I am looking forward to this time of refining the small points.

Thank you ALL for reading, sharing, helping, support and a spank once in a while when needed. It's been a real trip, I'd say more spiritual than technical, yet inseparable.
This is a milestone and not the end, although I am proud of my accomplishment. I can be done!

Congrats Stan !!! You're perseverance paid off in Spades. Following you through all of your posts has shown me the extent you went through to bring this old girl around and it's been no small feat. Truly inspirational.

Hi Stan, its a fantastic restoration job You have done. With great curiosity I did monitor in the background on you progress and must say with all the respect, despite all the difficulties you have faced, and moments when one think: oh crap! not again... You absolutely did a outstanding job bringing this machine to its former glory. You are to be proud of yourself, you proved that anything can, and will be done if one have a will to do it, regardless of budged, knowledge and conditions. From my chair, i too thank all the members for taking part in this great project by providing all the necessary feedback and advice, it is a great experience to be here and learn from experienced people like You all are. Thank You !

Way to go Stan! Congratulations. I know how it feels to go through what you did and end up with a great bike. Your persistence and commitment paid off in the end. Thats a beautiful bike. Now go put some miles on that thing before winter comes.
