You mean public storage facility with space to rent, right? Motorcycle shops/dealerships usually store bikes for about $60/month. That's not with a 24/7 access though, just winter storage and closed after hours.
A garage is about 350/month. depending on an area again. It would have to be definitely a public storage. They ran pretty expensive here as well though. Especially if it would be around my area. I am definitely going to ask around! But the issue is again with extra expenses.

I will do research and choose a GPS. Some require monthly subscriptions. I will see what's out there.

That "one particular group" can't be bothered with a measly bike. Their mommies and daddies buy them $200,00.00 luxury sports cars for graduation and pay their fines and impound fees when they're clocked at 266KPH across the Second Narrows bridge .......and a month later....repeat ! and so on !

You got it exactly right scotch. There was even an article in the paper here about clubs they have. One is a club in North Vancouver exclusively for super rich young Chinese, 20-25 year old, driving the most expensive cars. I mean Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, etc., all courtesy of parents, many newcomers to Canada. They get together and 'cruise' around. By no means I am connecting them to any bike theft, and I am not anti Asian! I spent many years in Asia and love Asia. But certain activities are connected to certain groups, and a sports bike theft often turns out to be often connected to young spoiled kids of whatever race and background. Those supported by mommies do stupid things for the thrill of it, although I agree, they usually don't go through troubles organizing a bit more complex theft. Most average druggies or kids wouldn't go beyond jamming a screw driver. The people who pick up bikes like Kawboy said, are probably another group, of basically assholes wanting to steal and part them out for a quick dollar. I'd say they would have an average shitty job and renting a house with 'buddies'. I think everyone in Vancouver looks to me like a thief! hahahaha Five days after I came here I went for a beer and dinner to a pub, and someone put drugs in my drink. I lost consciousness and a lot of things got stolen from me. Including photos from visiting Europe and my family and hometown after 27 years. Some of them now gone, it was irreplaceable.

It's a difficult call when it comes to protecting your bike.. I do have a certain set of skills (haha, that I borrowed from a movie), to fix bikes and people. Just like you said, out of a long list of places I still want to visit, jail does not even make the last entry.

I use that reason a lot :)

Galfer makes SS Four Line (3 front, 1 rear) brake line kits that are good quality and often come up for sale at very reasonable prices. I purchased a kit for my 900 for less than $50 on sale. Picked up a set for my 1100 for about $70. For me, SS brake lines are one of those worthwhile items to have but I wait, sometimes years, until I can find a deal before I purchase.

Don't know if this is what you are talking about I was going to buy these to put on my cats collars in case they get out as we have Coyotes where I am now.
Might work if placed on a bike somewhere and wouldn't be noticed

Bucko, I live and built this bike thanks to plastic. And life became way more complicated these days, so things are not looking as good as even a year ago.
I mean what I say, which is often not a good ice breaker. And I've been scolded for decades for keeping a good face and ignoring help when in need. It's the old proud European curse in certain countries, and closer to the heart family traits. Including falling on your face but say with a smile you're fine. I think this might have to do with the history, communism and wars. There is nobody else to blame for this now though except me of course, because I have a personality of a moth apparently.

I have SS on my Vmax and it did make things better, so I attest to this upgrade! The prices you mentioned are superb. Could you shout loud in my ear when you come across such deal for the KZ1300! I went to Green Line & Hose on Commercial, and they asked CAN$60 + tax for the rear brake line. That's why I passed.

stocktoy, I'm checking it out! Thanks for the lead! BestBuy is around the corner, I will talk to them. :)
