I first screwed the 'elbows' into the handlebar throttle control, then played with the other end with the throttle open, but the cable still couldn't reach the slot on the carb.
Maybe that's because I'm using a different throttle handle? Hmm... It shouldn't make much difference. I will see later, first installing the exhaust and a few other extremities.
I think I'm just missing something simple.

Posting, despite the message frame still out of whack.

Tomorrow the main thing: radiator, front fender. And a few top end wires and hoses sorting out.
Still working on the fuel tank attachments: petcock and a missing fuel level sender. I bought a couple unrelated units, one of them seems to be fitting. The measured resistance is within specs, and I calibrated it preliminary between empty an full. I just need to drill the holes to match those on the tank, and I am not planning on running down on fuel anyway.

Wow that's looking really great. I see you look to be using the rubber brake lines any reason you didn't go with stainless steel ones? At least they look different then the ones I have if they are SS lines

Does look great Stan, like the black engine cases.

Are your exhaust cans original, or did you replace?
(looks super-shiney!)

the bike is looking magnificent. Have any of the other users of that car park commented on the bike?
