Thank you!

Yeah, I took the rear brake line to a shop, but at the moment decided not to get the SS lines preserving the funds for anything else needed. The front is another 3 lines, so at the moment just not in the budget.
There are other priorities regarding the bike and parts. But I must say that after rebuilding everything, including re-sleeving the master cylinder with stainless tube, the brakes are so solid I need a lot of power to squeeze that lever. I am sure they will work fine. But one day I will change them all just to have this modernized.

The exhaust pipes are original. The whole exhaust is. I sand blasted the insides to get rid of any rust, and had everything chrome plated.

Yes, passing by tenants said many complements! Of course they don't know the whole story, and except one retired engineer don't understand the technical details. Even him, he said it looks great and thought I just polished and painted everything! hahaha Nobody knows the whole story.
And the building management just send my friend a letter that they don't want my bike there and will tow it away. Despite lots of empty space!!! And half of the occupied are rented out to outside people forcing tenants to park on the street. All for a buck. That's Vancouver, I'd say the most unfriendly and money greedy place I've had a misfortune to live in. Nothing has changed over the years. Needless to say, I'm not going to let this happen.

I'd say that I've never been so happy to have my bike collecting dust in a parking lot! hahaha
It should be participating in the air pollution and global warming soon. And I have no problem with that as well

Looking way to pretty to be left unattended in an underground parking garage of an apartment building. I had a new CBX stored exactly like this and someone lifted it and of course not one person in the building saw it being stolen.

In this day and age, i would be hiding a GPS locator on the bike so that if it did grow legs, I would be able to find it and report the location to the police for retrival.

Great point Kawboy, thank you. I've been thinking about the same, living 'in fear' with the other bikes.
I don't have many options unfortunately, the only one available is again, park on the street. Beside the theft problem, I wouldn't want to leave this bike under cover outside. Vancouver had 29 days of rain last year, I think in November? Then the winter... And my bikes had been knocked to the ground a couple times, causing damage, by parked cars drivers. Some jerks park literally a couple inches from the bike, I can't even move it! It has to be indoors. I will try to network here, maybe some local motorcyclist has a big garage? Or business with space to keep my bike? I have no problem riding one to get to the second one.

Yes, Vancouver, you must have heard of it at least. Drugs and homelessness central. I don't want to expand on this much here, but if shelters are full in East Canada, the government ships the homeless here, because here is warmer and they can survive winter on the streets. Since my first visit here in 2000, the Main & Hastings and area look like a zombie apocalypse movie set now. Of course, those people wouldn't be messing with a big bike, but rather some unscrupulous already well off younger assholes. And I have one particular group on my mind here on the West Coast. When it comes to motorcycles, it's usually sports bikes and Harley's. Makes me second guess installing the engine guards.. But I am going to insure the bike a very high amount.

Kawboy, maybe we could start a new thread, if you wouldn't mind posting about a good GPS if you have experience with one? So many choices. If not, I might start one.

As far as storage, you might consider one of those You Store it Facilities. The last one I used for the Porsche while the house was being built, also had 4ft x 8ft storage units. perfect for a motorcycle.

I have no experience personnally with GPS locator units. I know that they exist. I remember a friend installed a Cobra security system on one of his precious cars. It sent a warning message to his cellphone when it got moved 5 ft without the key turned on then gave him a coordinate tracking. I too would be interested in such a unit.

.....And just saw on Global Vancouver News last night - "Motorcycles in Vancouver are now being stolen - one every two days" !

That "one particular group" can't be bothered with a measly bike. Their mommies and daddies buy them $200,00.00 luxury sports cars for graduation and pay their fines and impound fees when they're clocked at 266KPH across the Second Narrows bridge .......and a month later....repeat ! and so on !

A couple of pad=locks through the brake-rotors will slow them down long enough for you to grab a bat....when the "alarm" goes off ! As one "member" told me once - go ahead and beat the jesus out the asshole but drag him to another yard before going back to bed!
