Thank you all above for a input! :)

Becoming them soft in heat is a valid point. I just made them, from that thick rubber, but all thoughts considered, once I find a different material I will make them from something more sturdy.

Yes, I see many on eBay, many extremely cheap. I will order something from China just to check them out - many are just 99 cents and free shipping! But most likely I will end up making my own custom size the scotch way, haha

Here's the rubber one. The hole punch could be a bit larger, but it doesn't matter as I will be making or getting new ones eventually.

Just got the tank and all the covers painted! :woohoo: :)
They have been professionally painted by my new local motorcycle friend, didn't see this coming and accepted his help with gratitude. This is huge, can't believe this part is done!

It's Kawaski ebony, the proper color for my 1982 A4 model. I left it without stripes for now - they can be easily added anytime, he told me, and sprayed again with clear. But for now, I like this simple basic color look. Great step forward in this project.

Anyone knows of the top of their head what is the thread size of the little screws that holds the 'Kawasaki' sign on the fuel tank? I need to clean those threads up, and best would be to get new screws as well.

And with luck, you'll have them in time for next year's riding season :woohoo: :woohoo:

Looks really nice Stan!

I assume you painter is local? I'd like to get some more information on that.
