I think I will have to change the chain due to the movement seen in the video.

It is hard to determine if you need to replace the chain by just looking at it. You really need to measure the up / down movement. If you have to replace the chains, you need to have new ones made. Ramsay Products can make them. I spent 5-6 months sourcing a manufacturer and then found Ramsay. I sent them a primary and secondary chain as samples and they sent me back drawings for approval. 3 weeks later I had a new set of chains.Attached are the drawings.KB
Picture of the sample chains and the new chains. See label on the box for Ramsay Products address. / email etc.
The drawings are PDF files and would not upload in to the post so open up the drawings and download if you wish.

Are the chains closed or can they be ordered with a closing link to avoid disassembling the pistons?

The chains are manufactured as a complete assembled chain ( "closed") . You will have to remove 3 connecting rods in order to install. That shouldn't be a problem.

Good.
After verifying that cylinder 5 had low compression in addition to burning a little oil, I was certain that I had to dismantle the engine.
As a forecast two weeks ago I ordered a complete set of engine gaskets, today I received it.
I bought it on this page.
www.mymotoparts.co.uk/p/kawasaki-k-z-130...asket-set-full-each/
Its cost, adding shipping and taxes, has been about 180 euros.
Now the UK is outside the European Union and there is an extra cost of taxes on commercial operations.
