Biltonjim - I had a 1956 AJS and it also had one cable. All the other bikes we had and were working on in our club like 1930's Ariel, NSU, Royal Enfield, Jawa, etc., all had single cable. But the modern Vmax has two as well, similar to KZ.

Yeah, my KZ1300 doesn't have any as well LOL Definitely something strange about it :blink:

The coolant overflow tank fix. In retrospective, I'd replace a larger area and apply less JB Weld. It still looks fine and I will be able to actually see the level.

That fix looks pretty slick. I'm interested to hear how it holds up - my guess is that it'll be fine. I repaired an oil pan leak on my Jeep a few years ago using JB and it's still holding up fine.
