UPS, I DID IT AGAIN¡¡

I have done it again, at the risk of my wife and sons kicking me out of the house I have bought a new green t-shirt.

Although what really matters is that my face looks happy.

Very nice !! If I had an 1100R in the garage, I'd have a matching shirt as well. That ELR edition is one of the nicest looking naked bikes out there. Kodos for having one. VERY NICE !!

Beautiful.  What is the history of that bike?

Beautiful.  What is the history of that bike?
I have bought it from its second or third owner.

This model was never marketed in Spain, its first registration was from the United Kingdom, its speedometer is set in miles although I have not noticed a tendency to drive on the left.

In 2014, its owner decided to transfer his residence from his native England to the South of Spain (many English and German subjects enjoy their golden retirement in beautiful apartments in Spanish tourist areas).

There was no way to homologate and register the motorcycle in Spain as it was a model not registered with the Ministry of Industry.
The only possible solution to be able to register and drive the motorcycle in Spain was to register it as a Historic vehicle.

In 2015 and after a lot of administrative paperwork and bureaucracy, it was granted its Historical title. (In Spain it can be obtained 30 years from its first registration.)

This guy got tired of the motorcycle and sold it in 2021 to his English friend who finally sold it to me, the motorcycle was 1000km away from where I live and I bought it without seeing it, like the 1300, but this Once I asked for a few videos of the motorcycle running and photos that convinced me, I also started the engine before the transport van had left in case I had to return it.

It seems that this time I made the right purchase and it barely requires a tune-up to finish working perfectly.

This weekend I went back to the garage with Christine to try to tune it up the damn thing.

Cylinder number two did not work, I went crazy twisting the mixture adjustment screw on the carburetor in both directions without any result until I decided to take out the spark plug and change it with an old one, problem solved, the new spark plug has not lasted even 20 km. Since its replacement, it is what it is.

With all the cylinders running, I adjusted all the carburetor mixture enrichment screws by ear, the sound seems to improve.

I have also noticed a finer operation when tightening the threaded rods that regulate the opening of the butterflies of carburetors one and three by one turn.

With each acceleration I see the gasoline level in the auxiliary bottle that feeds the carburetors drop a few millimeters.

The right exhaust continues to emit some smoke, I hope it will be resolved when riding on the road.

The bike starts right away, the lights, horn and indicators work, the radiator fan works too, you have time to calmly have a beer until it decides to stop.

I have retightened the clutch screw.

Additional assembly of some plastic clamps to hold electrical wiring at the last minute.

I bleed the air from the brake circuit, front and rear.

I place the fuel tank and the seat, start the engine again to make sure it is working properly.

Then I remember that I didn't check the pressure of the fork arms.
I move the bike over to the compressor and remove the rubber caps from the end of the bars, shit, my air hose end doesn't fit the holes and I can't do anything about it.

Then I decide to adjust the tire pressure, the front one needs little air, when I put a little pressure on the rear the valve sinks into rotten rubber leaving the wheel without air, a fucking Sunday breakdown with no workshop to repair.

By the way:

Can the wheels fit tubeless tires or do I have to change the inner tube?
