The washer should be on the timing chain tensioner bolt. It is an oil sealing washer. Kawasaki part number 92022-077.

11 months 2 weeks agoIn my case I found a metal washer, its thickness prevented fixing the tensioner plunger after adjusting the tension.The washer should be on the timing chain tensioner bolt. It is an oil sealing washer. Kawasaki part number 92022-077.
In no case did I find a washer of oil sealing material.
On my other KZs the tensioner can be locked by tightening the nut, preventing any teeth from jumping during a strong reduction.

Edit. My bad, good catch. When parts arrive I'll inspect my tensioner to see if washer is metal or fibre or??

Sealed by O-Ring.O-Ring shape? Looks flat. Need to see if Rick's comes w O-Ring or not. This is the starter motor gasket, it is round.
On the left of the photo is the old rubber.
