No problematic magnets, reed-switches or sensors. All hidden inside shift cover. One-of fabricated parts. No Diagrams.

Very impressive. Was this just a technical exercise, or do you find that you sometimes ride for miles in fourth gear instead of fifth? We've all done that at some time, I'm sure!
That clock looks good. Is it a mechanical movement?

Like "some", I occasionally find myself trying to find "6th". Yes - even after 40 years ! As far as this being a "technical exercise" - That's an understatement.
The clock ! Merely a cheap watch with the strap arms removed and "attached" with some 2-sided tape.

Neat! So did you make it? Inquiring minds want to know. Also curious if you've tried the 'universal' ( magnet) versions before and had problems?
