I will be disconnected for a few days.
Tomorrow my wife and I leave for Italy for a week-long tour of the island of Sicily with a BMW Cruiser club. It's our way of celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
I already have the bike ready.
We read each other when we get back.

ON THE BIKE AGAIN..
After weeks with the project on hold, today I decided to put laziness aside and went down to the garage to spend some time pampering Christine.
It had not breathed through its original airbox for many years.
Again he has a tool tray, his money cost me.
Assembling the exhaust manifolds drove me crazy, too many loose parts for so few fingers to hold.
In the end I had an idea and it worked for me.
I used rubber bands to hold the plates that hold the mouth of the exhausts.
Everything made sense again and worked wonderfully until after trying without luck to tighten the manifold nuts, forcing the tubes, I realized that I had to disassemble everything again and insert the exhaust outlet inside the main stand structure.
I had mounted them outside the main easel and there was no way to fit them into place.
Next weekend I will try to assemble the radiator, the handlebar wiring and see if I have forgotten anything to assemble before going out riding.

I was browsing around and noticed this post from a couple of months ago regarding the spark.
When I listened to it, it sounded like your starter wasn't turning over very well. Were you cranking the KZ with a weak battery, or is there something else going on with the starter itself.
Just curious.
