I've also had the fuel tank soaking in apple cider vinegar for a few days too in an attempt to address the (admittedly minimal) rust in the tank.

Gotta dry it out quickly so it doesn't rust.



And both forks are done! My 15w fork oil should be in today, so I can set the level tonight, reinstall the spring, and refit them to the bike.

Rebuilt my front master cylinder last night since it was weeping a bit. Seems to be fixed now. The lever is still a little spongy, buy I'm gonna chalk that up to 40 year old rubber brake lines. Still forgot to measure the brake banjo for thread size. Oops.

You're a newbie around here so I'm going to throw this out there. Lots have had trouble with the bleeding until they tried reverse bleeding. There's brake bleeders that feed fluid to the slaves and push the fluid up to the master and the air bubbles will follow the fluid up. Makes total sense.

I got a solid bleed on it, both calipers have zero air coming out. I always find it helps to crack the banjo fittings open as well since air sometimes hides in the upper parts of those.

The brakes work fine, it's just old rubber lines.
