Hi. Need some second opinion. I’m rebuilding the rear shocks. I was trying to get the old sealing out when my hand slipped and the screwdriver made a nice mark in the fork bushing
I wonder how critical it is? I mean, the new seal will keep the oil inside. So, what will happen if I just leave it and just put the new seal back?

Thanks to metalguru’s great thread in how to rebuild the rear shocks:
www.kz1300.com/index.php/forum/suspensio...r-ride-shock-rebuild
I have now finished rebuilding my shocks.
I used a syringe to add new oil. About 240 ml in each shocks and set the air pressure to 30 PSI
If this works great then my shocks are now possible to change oil and gasket easily. Time will tell.
I attach some pictures.

A little update. Waiting for a new brake line for the rear brake. Everything else is now back on place. Started it up just for checking and drive 200 meters
Good throttle response, a bit rough idling though. When I get the brake line I can finally go for a ride and break in the engine
