Cylinder head back from machine shop. Looking fantastic
New guides, valve exhaust. Valves seated, replaced oil gasket, valve adjusted ++
When I compare Liska gear with oem gear, I realize that the oem gear is in excellent condition. I will install the Liska gear anyway.

Thanks for posting this. The last time I had the valve cover off my low mileage ZN, I carefully inspected the idler gear as it looked worn - didn't realize it probably looked the same way new (or reasonably similar) - which your photo nicely highlights.

The odometer shows 40.000KM and the oem idler gear is good
Cylinder head back on. Beginning to look like a great engine again
First I put the cam chain one (half) tooth wrong, and turned the engine around 4-5 times. For a moment I thought that now everything was wrong. Valves was bent or broken? .. I didn’t feel any resistance so I think it’s alright. The cam chain is now correct

Finally, engine back in the frame It took some time, but was able to do the work alone. Beginning to look like a motorcycle again. What a relief
