Why Have Four When You Can Have Six ?

That type is for use with a small mount and a PULL spring.
The Z1300 type is a PRESS Type so completely opposite working to that.
It also will not fit in the recess for the switch on the master cylinder body ?????
Where did you fit it and how did you manage to make it work (any photos appreciated) ?

Hi PeteF,
I found the kz 1300 rear brake light switch : You might have to sell one of your family to buy it!!
vintagekawi290.
part number: 27010-1027
Just check if the letter before the 290 is an "i" or a "1"
hope that helps
Bill

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your message.
I dont actually need to buy one as I have the standard Kawasaki one (which is the only one that fits) on my own Z1300 already.
I am just very curious as to how the Pattern One mentioned earlier can be fitted to a 1300 as a replacement without heavily modifying or fitting onto the bike in a different place to the standard one, as there is no way it is a direct replacement. ?????
The reason the Standard Switch is so hard to find and expensive is it is unique to the Z/KZ1300 and does not fit any other model.
The Pattern One is a very universal part available anywhere very cheap and fits 1000's of bikes.

Thanks Pete, If modifications had to be made as mentioned I would go for the banjo pressure switch...maybe a lot less intrusive.
Any way I have been looking for genuine switch for my KZ1300 for months so at least now I have it...
Blink'in Aussie dollar exchange rate is grim for importing !
