This past weekend there was an estate sale in San Antonio with some KZs. Not sure if they sold or not, anyone interested could contact them.

Appears to be one decent KZ1300, one parts KZ1300. At least one reasonable KZ1000. Some other bikes.

The first sold I think.

The second I saw in person and talked to the seller. It's 81. It runs but has no stock parts except tank. Would need total rewire and everything else. Too little for too much for me.

1980 Kawasaki KZ1300 - $3800 (Pasadena). No Title 26,000 miles. No Title tells me it's not worth $3800...

Not that I am buying any soon, but seeing one pipe is a no from me at first glance, or a cool drastic drop in price. That in Pasadena - you can't even see the side, so no idea what the bike looks like.

The Maryland - I'd take it for a 1000 if around there.

It puzzles me why most of the available bikes are on the East Coast. Not much around here.

Are you referring to the East coast of CA or East coast of North America?

I went back and looked at the last few bikes. I see 4 South US (3 in Texas, 1 in New Mexico), 1 West Coast US, 1 East Coast US, 1 West Coast CA.

I do occasionally leave some bikes I see out. I think I saw one on the East Coast US recently that they guy wanted what I though was way to much for a B model stripped of the bags/fairing.

Do keep in mind that while Southern Cali is heavily populated, the rest of the US West Coast is not. The US East coast is more densely populated than states like Utah, Oregon, Nevada, Wyoming, etc. Also the Western states tend to have more imported population from other states. Most of those new comers probably left their old KZ back east. Even here in Texas there are not a lot of Texans. I am the only one in the office over 40 that was born in Texas.

The Western states also tend to put a lot more miles on vehicles so probably more bikes were simply driven into the ground.
