This one actually looks pretty good (except the seat). Only one pic, but I see no sign of rust or that it's been dropped. Not sure about that web-site it's listed on. But if it is on the up-and-up, it could be a great deal for someone.

Totally agree. Florida so far away from Vancouver.... :(

A flight one way is relatively cheap. But what then? Maybe someone with experience can chip in how to import bikes in to Canada and how to ship them across the USA? (cheapest options of course)

Cheap... Get an American to drive it across and fly back.....

Some states have no inspection and will mail your registration/plates to you out of state.

But maybe you where thinking a “legal” option?

You mean ride the bike all the way across the USA? Would you risk that with such an old, not a proven performer bike? What if it gets stolen, broken or crashed?
I wonder about the title. You meant the bike would go without any plates, papers? That's another risk of having it impounded and lots of complications... Lots of possibilities to never see the bike at all I think. Unless it would be arranged by a legit dealership with a newer bike on warranty and all insured. Still, I'd say a risky business for a member of another country, all across a huge continent.

I think a legal option is best. Could I, on a Canadian passport, get plates to ride a bike across the country? I think I should be able. I know tourists visit, purchase a car or a van, or a bike, drive around and then sell it before going back. I'd definitely do that! The risk is in the possibility of being stranded with a broken bike due to some mechanical failure.

So, next obvious question is about shipping - I think most available bikes within the acceptable price range will be inoperable.

Then, for my Canadian friends, maybe we could sort out exactly what is needed and what are the steps to bring a bike across the border. Maybe even in another thread if we want to keep this one clean, adverts only oriented?

PS. I sent the owner a message. Let's see if it's even available - the add is over 60 days old.
