I see small aluminum cooling fan blades on the Internet and eBay for $3 to $5
Has anyone tried find8ng a compatible fan that would mount to a stock kz1300 cooling motor?

Ahhh ... this fan thing is a sore point for me, did a post ages ago about it, it seems Muzzy (I think that's the makers name) made an aluminium 6 blade replacement for the 13 fan, of course I contacted them and they said they were going to make some more cause they were "out of stock", I contacted them a few times about purchasing one, had a preorder in and everything, they delayed the replies, and next thing I know the company was sold, and no fan, I gave up after that, if you ever find someone who makes one PLEASE let me know, as I have a spare fan motor and shroud painted up ready to put a blade on (I was expecting a Muzzy one), it'd be good to have a better fan here in Australia, cheers Pete.

After seeing aluminum fans on ebay for $3 I'm sure they are very inexpensive to make. Has anyone remove the plastic fan and measured it's dimensions? I'm sure a company in China would love to supply a aluminum replacement if they had the right specs.

Sorry only one I have at present is on the bike, the "spare" one broke into pieces when I tried to remove it from the electric motor shaft, but I do know that it can't be too "thick" or it will hit the radiator, with the Muzzy one you had to use the piece of aluminium in the center of the fan to give it a thicker connection to the motor shaft or it would just spin the hole round in the fan itself when it started, it has to be made thick enough to not flex or vibrate and have at least 6 blades

MUZZYS ALUMINUM COOLING FANS
•It is recommended that the stock plastic fan be replaced with an aluminum one when installing a performance exhaust system
•Prevent engine damage due to high temperatures encountered during prolonged high rpm/low airflow operation
•Feature six blades to increase cooling system efficiency
•Can be used with stock or all aftermarket exhaust systems
