Ahh it seems my luck holds, just like the air filter saga, I saw the post on here about the new fan and thought "what a great idea", that will help the old girl cool off in our hot Aussie summer, so I got onto their site, found the fan and ordered one, the postage was ridiculous, but where else can you get one?, I waited a few weeks after getting the order confirmation and sent an e-mail asking if perhaps there might be a tracking number so I could find out where in the world it might be, here was the reply (mind you they took the payment quick enough):-

Hello Peter,

We are processing your order for the Aluminum fan blade, but wanted to inform you that the fans blades are a few months from being produced.
If you choose to wait, I will continue with the order. If you have a different way to go please advise me so I can cancel for you.

Needless to say they could of informed me weeks ago, even just after they took the payment, but they only informed me of the delay after I asked where it might be or if it was posted. I have told them to continue with the order as I do want one, but it seems to me that some of these companies just want your money and have no thought as to letting the customer know what is going on. I have found that even though the Chinese make and supply some cheap stuff, at least they are quick to tell you when your order is posted and seem to be concerned as to wether or not your happy with the product, ok had my whinge, time for another cuppa to calm down , cheers

Yeah the annoying thing is not telling you what is going on.
I had a big surprise a few months ago while buying tyres from USA and the guy told me they would be a week or so late because of late delivery his end and said they he would not process the credit card payment till they were ready to be shipped and that time it would not have mattered if it was 6 weeks late.

Hey,Muzzy stuffed me around as well,so with typical AUSSIE FINESSE,told them to please cancel the order.Went with an alternative cooling arrangement.Works a treat,and retained the OE fan.Kezz.

I did hear back from them ages ago, they told me it would be at least 3 months before they would be making the 1300 fans, if I would like to cancel the order and get a refund they could do that, I thought "what the heck, where else can I get one ??, no where !!!", so told them i'd wait. Sent them an e-mail a few days ago, just to touch base so to speak, to find out how things are going, here is my e-mail and their reply, seems it's a "don't contact us, we'll contact you" type reply ....

Hope they are getting some decent interest from the bank from my payment for the fan and postage, at least I paid for it when the Aussie dollar was high

Your probably way better off going with a Spal fan anyways they are a great company and I have use them for many pro
jects
