Could you scotch mention the 'obvious' again about the correct float level?

What is it specifically that you need to know Stan?

I was reading the messages and I can't find some photos I believe were there.
Anyway... even if it was clarified before, I just need it the one last time. That fuel level is measured 6 - 8 mm from the mating surfaces right? When correct, it should show about 2 mm below the 'fat' part of the bowl body, below the two surfaces contact?

6.5 - 8.5 mm below the "lip" as indicated by the green line and arrow. NOT the mating surface or the fuel level will be high.
For fuel-bowls with a drain "bolt" - the size is M6-P.75

I can't delete the other message, so I will post another one to clarify once and for all. At least in my head!

Number 1 is for where the top and the bowl actually seal (mate?).
Number 2 is where the they appear to 'mate' from the outside
Number 3 is the lower edge of the thick bowl's mating surface.
Number 4 - fuel level.

My confusion is mainly between 1 and 2.
So, the 6.5 - 8.5 mm should be measured between 1 - 4 or 2 - 4?

Now I understand Stan. I set floats @ 7.5 - That's the green arrow/line . An easy reference is to note that 7.5 is in the middle of that bowl contour that is below the flange. By your photo, your level would appear to be high but it could be 6.5. I can't judge due to the angle. So you'll be measuring from #4 -6.5 and DOWN. The manual shows a drawing depicting the fuel level relative to the side of the bowl.
