That's a lot of money for a gas cap.
Maybe it's possible to get the oem chrome lid seperated - and have it re-chromed.
But then maybe you don't the original.

I went through 2 aftermarket caps. Never got the first one to seal. The second one took some mods... had to clean up flashing around where the o-rings go.

I finally received the used CDI from the French replacement dealer.

The connectors are crying out for a good cleaning.

Well, after reassembling the parts, prime the carburetors and help the battery with some additional clamps.

THE ENGINE HAS STARTED
A beautiful blue flame came out of the holes in the cylinder head when he activated the gas lever.
I stop the engine to adjust the idle screw.

I start the engine again and the damned cylinders 2 and 5 fail again.

I remove the spark plug from cylinder 2 and there is no spark.

No problem on cylinder 1 and 3.
The fucking chronic failure of the motorcycle is repeated.

The fault comes from the pick-up.

The fault is in the pulse generator of cylinders 2-5.
It works when it wants without apparent cause.

I have already ordered a new one from MCG Parts.
Its cost is 115 euros.

I'm only a couple of spare parts bills away from setting the bike on fire.

When you get it sparking again, could I ask a favor? Take a video of the plugs sparking so I can compare what I have to yours?
I took a couple of low quality photos at the time of capturing the spark from the spark plug.

I was also able to record a video as requested, the quality of the video is in line with that of the photos.
From the 29th second the party begins.

The sparks correspond to cylinders 1 and 3.
Number 2 went for tobacco.

I turned off the garage light so the sparks could be seen better and to hide my mess.
