Rear Shock Rebuild / Replacement was created by Zed1300
Hi
I am currently running the original air/oil rear shouck but it looks like the lower seals have gone to god.
Does anyone know who rebuilds these in Australia or if there is an alternative that I can use to keep the old girl on the road.
Cheers

Years ago I made a good deal with KONI, now IKON ( www.ikonsuspension.com/ ), they perform excellent and look a lot like the original. Can't comment on actual pricing though.

cheers

IKON have developed a shocking reputation here in Australia. I have seen 4 shocks for the K100 and K1100 series BMW snap off right at the top below the mounting block. The shaft was only 12mm with a 12 x 1.25 thread cut into it to mount the top and an 8mm hole down the centre for the damping adjustment leaving less than 1mm wall thickness to the shaft at it's most vulnerable point.
Each time the shock has been sent back and replaced and came back with an apology saying that they had never before seen the problem.
