You could've stated the reasons for choosing not to export to the US and left out the politics.

For the record, no Administrator " Thanked" the comment with political undertones. Now I could have wiped out the comment but the " You Know Who" could be interpreted in many ways. Somebody started adding tariffs and many countries retaliated with counter tariffs, so who are we blaming? Scotch is being charged an Export Tax - payable to who? Canada or the USA? I don't know.
I'm tired of all the political maneuvering going on between ALL the countries and " We the People" are paying the price.
Bottom line- there are no winners here and a lot of losers in all these countries who have added Import Tariffs on top of Import Duties. Taxes are going up. Countries are burying themselves in greater debt and there's no end in site
Put on your helmet and tighten down the strap and hang on. It's going to be a he'll of a ride until sane people finally take the reins.

About 4 posts in to this topic yes, I did say thank you. Scotch clarified that he would still be selling his floats to a number of other countries since they are not imposing a fee on him. That post let the membership know that his floats are still available and for that, I thanked him.
As a rule, If somebody goes to the effort of posting information on this site for the benefit of the membership and I have no comment to add to the topic, I will add a thank you to let them know that I appreciate the effort.

Thanks for the explanation. No offence intended. I'm only trying to make some effort , on behalf of a good standing member , from him quitting the site altogether. If there is no appetite for this, that is , there was two parts to his post, -one part might be just a simple misunderstanding , and might therefore be salvageable.

Hi Folks,
This topic has been the subject of something like 100 posts over at KZR. I’ve had to step in, only once, to limit the discussion to how it affects our members, their lively hoods and our particular avocations and keep it away from the very much intertwined politics.
In general the discussions have served their purpose as folks have explained what they know about the various forms, fees and policies and how they've managed, or not, to keep trading their goods and wares.
Scotch’s refusal to sell into the US makes sense to me. He’s a member of our community. He’s not here to slay any fat cows. I seriously doubt that what little profit he manages to realize from his carb related devices would sustain him through the frustrations of dealing with the paperwork.
Regarding his choice of words ‘Kingdom’ and ‘Bending the Knee’, Scotch has revealed his politics in the past. I’ll except (not accept) these as teasing restatements and move on and I’m asking all of us to do so as well.
You did say "This topic is closed." didn't you Scotch?
