What style or series did you go with from pingle? And did you need the adapter plate also?

Yes you need the adapter plate ,its been a long time since i bought it, from memory i got it from ZED PARTS uk.I would think any 1000cc + pingle fuel tap would work the bore size 8mm

If you get the Pingle, you'll have to drill out the opening going into the tank.  Had I known about the previously mentioned petcock (I think) from Suzuki, I'd have gone that route so that I don't have to turn the gas on and off.  That said, my Pingle works perfectly.

Sorry i should have said you need to open the hole in the tank , but you can still fit the original petcock if you don't make the hole to big

I've replaced my one with a pingel aftermarket and on my other bikes straight on our off and reserve and with on vacuum pipe to worry about i control the fuel going into my bike

I also prefer to have an OFF position. While the Suzuki petcock seems like a good option mostly because no tank modifications are necessary. I decided to go with the Pingle petcock and I did have to open the hole a bit. While the vacuum operated petcocks are helpful because you don't have to remember to turn them off I like the plainer petcock because I can turn off the fuel a half a mile from my destination and finish my ride with dry carbs.
