1985 Voyager Strip Down - Free stuff

I picked up a 1985 A3(?) Voyager to strip down to a cruiser. Anything associated with the bags/lights/bag framework is being junked. Send a pic for needs, parts are free. If you live near Boston take it all away. Couple questions, do shocks (non-air) from another KW fit, and is the FI system worth the effort or better replaced?
Thanks, Louis.

I'm kinda partial to the injection system. I certainly wouldn't give up on it till I tried to live with it for a while.

It works on this one.

The DFI is definitely worth the time it takes to get it going well. It may seem a bit complicated compared with a "simple" carb but the KZ carbs are far from Simple.
I have done 237000km on my Z1300 and the carbs are the biggest PITA ever.
I don't think there would be any long term owners here who have not had the carbs flood and fill the engine with fuel.
The Fuel injection is very easy to keep going just put some cleaner in the tank before each big run and get them professionally serviced (go to Mr Injector you get a before and after report) and quick turnaround. Make sure the multipin plug to the ECU is clean and same for all the connectors and they run sweet as for years on end.
I have been involved with K series BMWs now for years and until I started using EFI on engines I didn't know just how good it is.

I also have a 1985 Voyager. I've removed the trunk and saddlebags and have no need of them. I can provide pictures if you're interested. All I want for them is enough to cover the shipping.
