tail light bracket wanted..

Hi.

I need a taillight bracket like the one on the picture.. 1980A2 European model.
As can be seen the tubes for the blinkes are bent and straightening thm will not be perfect...

Personally, I wouldn't write-off the bracket just yet. I would suggest getting it on the bench and with some careful heating with a (propane/plumbers) torch and some coaxing you may very well be able to straighten it satisfactorily. A coat of rattle-can primer and top-coat and ....voila ! Note I suggest "propane" and NOT Oxy/Acet !

I'm with Scotch on this one. I love the challenge. I've straightened shock tubes to within .001" with no consequences. In this case a little heat to bring it to a dull cherry red and then straighten out. Concentrate the heat on the inside of the bend. What you're trying to do is "stretch" the inside of the bend.
