water pump bevel drive gear wanted HELP!!

I vaguely recall someone making an all metal gear conversion,
sorry thats all i got, memory is crap these days, i have to look in the mirror to see if its me ... :woohoo:

Here's the difference between the early A1/A2 style (left) and the later A3-onwards (right). The splines on the top of the left one mesh into a gear, that runs the pickup coils. The right one obviously doesn't have these, and won't work if you have a later bike.

Unfortunately, the nylon portion of my early one is completely toast. If you have an A3 or later (the ignition pickups are on the crank, rather than behind the cylinders), I'd be happy to sell my good one. Otherwise, I can't help.

Just wondering if you found the gear I am after?

What year engine is it going in to?

It is 1979 model, I am still chasing one,any help will be appreciated
