Ha, engine on a pallet in the living room, That ain't never gonna fly in my house!
But it looks absolutely great Stan! Kudos!
I have just started laying the concrete foundation for my new bike workshop so I can work on it at home. Blimey! That is HARD work!, I'm knackered! :pinch:

Hahaha Well, it's not always peachy. Tina loves motorcycles, and loves seeing this engine. But sometimes gets overwhelmed and gets very frustrated. But she spent a lot of time polishing, or washing plastic parts, so I even get help.
But I also sometimes get pressure and feel like I wish I never bought any of these. There are times I wish I never bought that KZ1300 I rebuilt, and definitely regret buying the one with the frame that needs all the brackets. It's been a nightmare sometimes, and that with frame will be another. Honestly, I have no space for this, and I could definitely feel much better with all the money saved instead of gone. It's a rich man's hobby really, and one with a house and a garage. So yes, I get really sick of it sometimes and I do feel like I'd like it to just disappear. I wouldn't throw it of the balcony of course! hahah Just kidding. But I do feel like this sometimes.
But yes, the satisfaction is great. I wanted to challenge myself and I succeed. And I'm glad to liking having this highly technical sculpture in the room! It's really neat o look at. Will look even better with the carburetors attached.
This is where it usually sits, and that corner will be his.
Good luck on building the workshop! You will love it, having a dedicated space for building! Awesome! You are living my dream, hahaha
Yes, construction work can be hard. I had done is sometimes when living in Japan, because that was all that's available and steady, at least for a few months at a time, if you don't have a work permit but have a visa to live there. It was a rollercoaster. But I was young! I also did some good money with my fine art. Now, I took up construction 6 months ago because I am handy and it was the easiest thing to do to start working right away. Plus, I wanted to lose weight. But yes, it can be very hard on the body sometimes. And I'm not young anymore!

The oil pan cleaned up nicely in the ultrasonic cleaner. It's ready to install the filter, which I already have
It's interesting to see that it has not been painted. It's bare aluminum, it's how originally it is by Kawasaki. I think I will spray it with some silver regardless.
Inside so clean you could eat some soup from it! If you can spot it, I installed a different drain plug, one with a magnetic element. Funny thing, it picked up microscopic metal pieces from the liquid in my ultrasonic cleaner, so it's clean now! Good job plug!

Painted and ready. Filter installed.
The filter cover left not painted, because it will end up soaked in oil when oil changes come. It think it's better this way.

Painted the cylinder head. I think the ends of the cam cover need polishing. That will be much later, when I'm totally bored or distancing myself from the corona virus at home, if it comes to it.
