Thanks for the best wishes Kawboy. God forbid any visits at any hospital, and that applies to anybody :)

Superglue crossed my mind, but just wasn't sure temperature wise. And I agree, this shouldn't be a problem. I am sure even leaving as is and applying some liquid gasket would work just fine. It's a 'safe' area, no moving parts etc.

That's a good link to Hylomar. I've been trying to buy gasket material and locally I can't find it. A larger sheet, not the dinky little squares Canadian Tire offers. Maybe them?

I used Yamabond 4 for sealing the crankcase. It's Japanese, it should work! :woohoo:

First I will give the super glue a bit of time to cure.

PS.Kawboy.
Endorsed by Rolls Royce (if that worth anything to you)

The point of that except provocation? The 'Canadian hospital remark'? I shared my first hand experience. Wanna shove it under the carpet? Not in my departament of improvement! As a moderator, why don't you moderate yourself and stop finding sneaky ways, curve balls, trying to poke me uncalled for, especially in an unrelated thread. We are worlds apart in evaluation of what's in Canada now, and sometimes the forum. I don't think I've ever been a conniving coward shying of taking head on what bugs me. Yes, we Europeans are passionate and expressive!

Your and the forum's aim is spreading knowledge of the KZ1300, nurture the support. Let's concentrate on that. If we can't handle our differences, how can we really be brothers in arms? Be it the really small KZ1300 matter of all things in the big wide world.

Good Lord ! This is why "Politics" & "Religion" have NO place in this forum! One post it's Happy Faces - the next.....well?
Exactly why I don't F.B, Twitter, Twatter,, Space-Time, Text or what-ever!.
Choose the wrong imoji, or worse......don't include one at all and Holy Shit - look out !

That reminds me - have to hoard some T.P. and sanitizer today. Might add Midol to the list:( :) :cheer: ;) :P            :woohoo: :side: :S   :pinch:

Pick the one that makes you happy.

Hello Stan,
In a perfectly mechanical world your remark about Kawboy, a moderator, finding ways to poke you is not off the mark. However, as I read the whole thread I don't read his comment as mean spirited. Rather, I see, or at least I thought I saw, you and he settling into a more comfortable respectful repartee. Oftentimes, letting folks see the back story is what helps the reader understand a family. If this thread read entirely like a service manual I'd judge it as less interesting. I know that Kawboy respects you and your skills. Could you try to keep that in mind before you let an aside like that one derail this very good thread?
Regards
Bill

Good advice all around here. I'd not like to descend to enforcing a technical writing standard on this forum. Please try to remember that each of you brings value to these discussions. Personalities are permitted, but not to the point where threads burst into flames.
