Nice work.

Using an ultrasonic cleaner is by far the easiest method. I did mine in a bath with "purple power" degreaser. Similar to simple green but not as caustic on aluminum and brass.

Before:

After disassembly and a dip in the cleaner for a couple hours.

I bought a used ultrasonic unit off of eBay for around $30, but the shipping cost close to $70 because of its weight. Even the cheap Chinese ones can do wonders. You don't have to buy special solution, any number of common cleaning chemicals work.

That's very interesting, Tyler. I've often wondered if I should buy an ultrasonic cleaner, and now you have convinced me!

Nice job there Mister. Probably Vapor blasted, (CO2 pellets that vaporize on contact). Did you get the O-rings in yet?
