I actually have an aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. So this is good news!

Electrical all put together but I'm not getting any spark and no power to the fuel pump. Yay 32 year old wiring.
Now I got about 20 connections to test and this zn1300 harness has a ton of unused wiring now that all the extra bs is gone.
Anyone have a 1983-84 Kz1300 or Z1300 harness that had the DFI fuel injection?

Trip/fuel eco computer.
Compass computer.
Air ride pump and system.
Sound, Stereo system.
Accessory lights.
Did the trip/ fuel economy computer have anything to do with the ignition or fuel system? I didn't think it did.

Looks like I'm going to have to wire up a complete custom harness. I can get a Mega squirt to replace the stock ECU, because I'm not even sure if it still works. Or I can get a set of carbs.
Carbs would be less wiring and trying to program the mega squirt.
But its very hard to find KZ1300 carbs.
I was thinking of using three GS500 carbs with custom brackets. Each cylinder is 216cc and the GS carbs are used for 243cc cylinders. It should work.

It sorted mine, as verified by an exhaust gas analyser at the local bike dyno. The fuelling was pretty consistent across the board You also have to ask if adjustable fuel pressure regulators weren't a fix then why does such a huge aftermarket for them exist in the car world?aus_z1300 wrote: An adjustable fuel reg might be an ok dodgy fix for a drag car or bike running full throttle for 10 seconds or so but don't think for a second it is going to sort out the fuel mixtures for you they will be all over the shop.
