Unless your friend is an aussie bogan then he probably devotes his life savings to modifying a commodore just so he can do burnouts and drink vb . If so it's probably mean't to be a compliment.

Ahh a ford lover :-), it's an Aussie thing, we either love a Ford or a Holden, I use to be that way when the Bathurst race was raced with production cars, now they are just nascars with a holden or ford shell, not like it use to be, pity the old race was good.

after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

Agmonmarine, Thanks for saving your KZ1300 from the scrap pile. Your welding, machining, and fabrication skills are outstanding. Machining the piston grooves to accept the KZ650 rings was impressive. The photos are informative and high quality.

You identified your KZ1300 as a 1980B2. Unless I'm crazy, and I have been at times, it is actually a 1979A1. The clutch cover is definitely an A1. The fairing is not for a B2. That is the Kawasaki fairing, available from the Kawasaki accessories catalog, and manufactured by Vetter for Kawasaki. It was used on A1 and A2 models.

I finally got my fuel problems sorted, only took a year and tons of fiddling.
I had fuel starvation problems over 6000 RPM that drove me crazy.
I made the double fuel line supply to the carburetors, fuel line from fuel tank supply fuel in a gentle down slope.
I changed the float valves from 2.5mm to 3.3mm for faster filing of the bowls.
Main jet is 110
Shimed the needless up a little
Modified K&N filter pods to fit these carbs

Just got back from 760 miles trip this weekend and the bike run so good had a blast.
All the hard work, hair pulling, mistakes, hours of resurch in this forum and other websites paid off big time
