Had the same problem when I restored Suzuki GT500 clocks with the Perspex turning yellow and cloudy.
Found by using 2000 w/dry followed by Autosol then toothpaste and finished off with autoglym polish they came up a treat.
Another product being Astonish oven and cookware cleaner. A paste which you mix with water only 60 pence from your local hardware dealer. Works a treat on alloy and far cheaper than some products on the market.

It will be ok kza it wouldn't run hot without carbs.

Never mind the rad and carb's. Some one nicked the spark from the dam bike that's the problem.
