New Member from sunny Florida

Born in Clearwater, spent about half of my youth and adolescence in Indian Rocks Beach. Seems like a rough time to be a Floridian. Even back then, Florida was an "I got mine, now you get yours" state. All those retired oldsters from out of state never had the slightest interest in helping anybody else raise their kids. And that's quite apart from the vicious racism. I was an upper-middle-class white kid, and my public schools were never funded properly.

Nothing personal--I always loved the natural beauty of the state, but suffered from the right-wing indifference, and this was back in the late 60s and early seventies. I can't even imagine living there under the boot-heels of the Trump Cult.
