Wow, All Very nice rides!
I also have an 83 Naked GoldWing. Gotta go through the carbs one more time, I hope. I really hate those linked brakes. How do you like 'em on your Wing?

Regards
Bill

That is a sweet 1100, Bill. The 1000 does not have linked brakes. But, I had a 1200 that did. I actually kind of liked them. It’s relatively easy to break the link if you are so inclined.

My 1983 GL1100 Aspencade. Personally, I like the bridged brakes, as this is my bad weather bike and they make a huge difference in stopping in wet slippery conditions.
Rides like a car :)

I do too! And although this is a KZ 1300 site, it is my introductory topic and we have hit on the topic of naked gold wings. So here’s another gratuitous shot of my girl without the Viper faring… (which I have since put back on!). This one was a labor of love and may just be the one motorcycle I would keep it if I could only keep just one…

I got the Wing when an acquaintance went into an assisted living home. I hadn't intended to keep it but I ended up with it anyway. it's too long a story.
Frankly I haven't given it the time and miles it needs to recover from twelve years of setting in an unheated, gravel floor, shed. When I pull on the front brakes only one disk gets the pressure, that's how it was designed and, frankly, it's so weak that it scares me every time I need to brake. It could be that the brake pads might need a bit of sanding, possibly outright replacement. If I ever get back to working on it I'd probably split the brakes. It also has a stuck ring on one of the left side cylinders. I believe it's a stuck ring because it smokes worse than a two stroke for the first seven miles of every ride, after which it runs clean for the rest of the day.
Oh Well Too Many Projects.
Your Wing looks really brutish, I like it a lot.
