Powder is usually cured around 350-400*F. Exhaust headers get much hotter than that, especially close to the exhaust port on the head.
I've had great success with Cerakote on exhaust parts, but am unaware of a traditional powdercoat that will withstand exhaust temps. Do you have more info on the coating used on your header?

I'd be very interested to hear how the finish holds up to the heat.

I've never found one that can do a gloss finish - that will stay glossy for more than a few seconds after the first run.

I have no experience myself with any of this Bucko. It's not powder coating but ceramic coating, and I also heard it can be done clear. It's not expensive from what I was told these days, but I opted for chrome instead. It's related to ceramic coating parts like pistons. I've seen black glossy exhaust pipes on running bikes, I think it has to work. If I come across the address I'll let you know.
