On one of my 1300's the side stand was loose in its mount and had been able to bend outward do to the bolt being loose if you can take it off put it in a vise and see if you can tighten up the gap of the pivoting end of the side stand. Unless the side stand has been bent deliberately for some reason?

I have a 1980 B2 and just measured the side stand for you. I get 290 mm from the center of the bolt to the middle of the foot. The bike is up on the main stand so it was easier to measure it that way. It should be easy to see if someone modified it since it's a cast steel item and there should be no smooth area as if it had been cut, welded and ground smooth.

Bent (curved) side stands are easily straitened with some adequate heat. Early on mine ended up looking like it came off a Harley and allowed my bike to lean over, precariously! Straightened it and it's remained strait, ever since !
