Bearing alternatives was created by Megadodo
Hi I'm new to the forum and the Z1300. I'm currently restoring one and there are a few bits missing, so I was hoping to get some info on bearing alternatives and seal sizes? What I've pulled together so far is:
Headstock data was from the FAQ. So if anyone can confirm or correct the above but also if you know the seal sizes that would be great.
Thanks
Rob

Most folks just buy the kit from Alls Balls. Has bearings and seals. I am sure you can put together your own 'kit' cheaper, but for most the hunting and risk of getting the wrong parts is not worth the few bucks saved.

Full retail on the kit is $36.

I have never heard of anyone disappointed in the Alls Balls kits quality.
I have used them for wheels, swing arm and steering head. I think they are comparable to OEM, with the exception of the steering head. I think the steering head bearings are better than OEM where OEM are the ball bearing style.
