Rear and front master cylinders

Rear and front master cylinders was created by StanG
Today I disassembled both front and rear master cylinders. Big problem - the bores are pitted and I can't use them with rebuild kits.
I looked into getting them re-sleeved. Another road block. EBC in Alberta said it will cost about $950 for both to have it done. Of course I'd have to ship them from Vancouver.
I find this price insane, for no better word.
Does anyone have a cheaper suggestion? Re-sleeving, DIY re-sleeving (source for the right size sleeve)?
Or perhaps suggestion which other bike's master cylinders are a good alternative?

Just an update regarding North America with a few leads after calling around.
EBC in Alberta want about $440 to re-sleeve a master cylinder.
John Stuart in Ontario $275.
I found a forum where people mention Karps and White Post in the USA. I called Karps and talked on the phone with them. He said re-sleeving is $75 - 90. The both have good reviews but Karps is in California, so on my side of the continent. I will probably send my master cylinders there in the future.
I also ordered a 320 grid flex hone to take a shot at them, but I already think it will not make it good enough. The rest of my master cylinders rebuilding story will go later on my bike's resto page.

Excellent info shows it pays to investigate ! I found this and likely a finer grit is available - didn't look any further. Re-sleeving would be the way to go if the pitting is too deep.

Yes. There is only 10% chance honing will do. I just had to take this chance and try it out.

I will be getting mine from Zoro Canada
The 320 grid is $23. I got 240 and 320. I can always keep it for later use.

I am wondering what happened to the Medicine Hat connection for re-sleeving these master cylinders. I am asking to resurrect the thread.
